What are natural cosmetics ?
Although it is difficult to use only untreated substances in face, hair and body products, to be
certified as organic, a cosmetic must contain low or zero percentages of surfactants, paraffin, silicones, synthetic
dyes derived from petroleum, parabens, allergenic substance.
The minimum requirements required, in terms of natural ingredients, are 95%.
Obviously this does not mean that in the remaining 5% there can be everything. The latter portion of the formulation
can only be composed of synthetic ingredients approved by the certification bodies, such as AIAB, CCPB, ICEA: there is
a specific list that must be followed.
In addition, the organic ingredients must be clearly legible on the label, which for each organic component must also
specify the percentage in which it is present in the finished product.
